How do I register and pay to attend the FAME Conference

Registering and paying online is easy. Follow the “Registration” link on this website or in the email newsletters you receive from FAME. Credit cards are accepted for online registration only.

Is the conference exclusively for customers of FAME’s Financial Aid Service or Student Information Systems?

No, in fact many attendees are not FAME clients. This is an educational conference oriented towards the industry as a whole, not a “user’s conference” in the traditional sense. The curriculum during the conference is well-balanced with sessions covering financial aid, regulatory compliance, best practice, operations, marketing and more

What is the VAWA Training Program and Do I Need to Attend?

This is a special training program for school owners and administrators to satisfy the VAWA annual training requirements, presented by attorney Chris DeLuca, the founder of DeLuca Law LLC. Your attendance in this session is optional, but annual VAWA training is required. This training program will address many topics required by VAWA, including:

  • Identifying and reporting domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking
  • Explaining the victims’ rights in all processes and procedures
  • Investigating, responding to and rendering findings on complaints

What are my options if I already registered, but will no longer be able to attend?

A refund/credit can be issued for cancellations received by FAME on or before March 31, 2020.  After that refunds are no longer available, but you may send a substitute attendee in your place. All cancellations or substitutions must be submitted in writing to Kim Malicoat at kmalicoat@fameinc.com and will be assessed a $25 administrative fee.

Will sessions and presentations be available for viewing before and/or after the conference?

Yes. The FAME Conference site will have the detailed agenda.  The Session Power Points – PDFs will be available approximately one week prior to the conference for attendees.

Who do I contact if I encounter technical issues with the FAME conference site, the online agenda, and/or registration page?

Yes, please contact Kim Malicoat in our Marketing Department by phone (954) 772-5883 ext. 114, or email kmalicoat@fameinc.com.

What kind of attire is required?

Attire for the FAME Conference is business casual. All sessions will be held inside the resort. Please remember that meeting room temperatures and personal comfort zones may vary, so we encourage you to bring a light jacket or sweater in case of cooler temperatures.

How do I report any Special Needs/Dietary Requests?

If you have special needs under the Americans With Disabilities Act or special dietary requirements, please explain those needs on the registration form.  If this was not done at the time of registration, please Kim Malicoat in our Marketing Department email kmalicoat@fameinc.com
